Im still in the early stages of my research so generally I'm flicking through sites on the internet, and collecting images for inspiration- I have just stumbled across these photographs from D Mode Magazine and I couldn't even wait to incorporate these into my blog, they are so beautiful and inspiring I know i'll be constantly reposting them and looking back to them throughout my development.
Straight away this has got me thinking about models, I need to choose an appropriate model for the shoot, I really don't think these images would be as breathtaking without the correct models being cast I had never really considered race as an aspect to be carefully looked at when selecting the right model.
So many different things have been incorporated into these images, even the tongue piercing is an important part as I've already stated previously that body modification is an important aspect of tribal life and will continue to research in to this.
The clothing and accessories are so ethnic it is initially difficult to determine whether they are modern fashion or real items.
This make up has also shown me that nothing has to be neat to be beautiful and creative, I will need to play around with products and dare myself to think outside the box with techniques of application.
This will not be the last you see of these images throughout my blog, as once I become more clued in about tribes I will do some more in-depth analysis of the images.

Our friends from Herring & Herring shared with us an amazing Tribal shoot for the latest D Mode magazine, without a doubt we can say this is the best interpretation of a tribal theme in a fashion editorial to date. We don't think Herring & Herring photography duo hadKanye West on their minds while making this one, but you can see more previews from Tribal pictorial under the cut:
