DIY Scarification- Take one!

So I am writing this blog post as the latex dries on my models leg to begin trial and error of how to do my own DIY Scarification, it's my first attempt so I am just trying out some quick easy methods to see what works best for my final images:

First attempt:

Just using plain latex on the skin I have dotted it a bit, not going in to detail or wasting any latex yet because I don't know if I'm going to have to use tissue paper or something yet to bulk it up and make it more raised, but for now its just playing around;

First things first, it takes FOREVER to dry, this tells me straight away i cant just use pure latex as it is too dense to dry, so i will need to use a mixture of tissue paper and latex to give it a more 3D feel and to dry a lot quicker. 

I am abandoning this attempt without even trying to put foundation over the top as I know it wont be successful, but I am still going to post it on my blog in order to show all my thoughts; wrong or right.
