Evaluation

When I received the brief for this project it immediately excited me, and I dived head first in to researching like mad on the Internet. I think my blog is strong throughout all aspects of research the only thing I would change if I could do it differently would be to link things back to my research more. I realised quite quickly that fashion styling was more inspiring to me than the research based around real tribes. I also think I could have explained more in to why I suddenly changed my direction from body modification to fashion. But over all I think I did a good amount of relevant research.
When it came to the shoots, my editorial went extremely well. I was really pleased with my over all out come and think the pictures really do make a strong editorial image, I linked the shoot well back in to my research and am pleased with my final outcome. My second shoot wasn’t as strong as my first but I decided I wanted to do a high fashion catwalk look that could be created quickly but effectively to the timings of a catwalk. I wanted both of my shoots to run on a similar theme and I chose quite a modern take on what tribal could be interpreted as. If I could do this project again I would redo my catwalk shoot as I think this is where I lacked in effort, but I am very pleased with my high fashion editorial shoot. I really enjoyed blogging as a way of putting across my thoughts, I prefer it to sketchbook work.
