Nush
Nush is my first model, I have given models a lot of thought this time... one thing I learnt from first year is that I cant expect my shoots to reach their full potential if I havent considered the right model to cast. It is so important and I am really trying to find the best people.
Nush is Mauritian, has beautiful long black hair and chocolate skin, she'd be absolutey perfect for one of my roles as she has stunning features and she is not your standard model, for tribal I really have to consider diversity when casting models as I really dont think a white person works well enough for what I want to achieve.
I already have so many ideas of what i want to do, I love how long and beautiful her hair is, it will be so easy to work with and perfect for the style I already had in mind when we were given the project brief! Blog post about that coming soon....
Ewart
Ewart is my second model, he is African and has tightly corn rowed hair which is perfect as plaits and corn rowing are very apparent in a lot of tribal hair styles. He has soft black skin and a very toned torso, in the right outfit and with the right makeup he really could look like he belongs in a tribe!
I really wanna work with Ewart's body, I think as its so toned and masculine some body paint would be really interesting for this look!
I still havent decided who is going to be my avante garde or my high fashion yet!
